The Chora Concept

Chora is a Greek noun that in ancient times indicated the agricultural region used by the population of Pompeii.

Our choice of the name reflects the permanent bond that joins the Chora restaurant menu with the territory and its excellent food and wine.  A constant search for the best primary ingredients, attention to choosing local products and enhancement of regional culinary traditions are key elements of our selection.

The Chora concept is reinforced by the term ‘WineArcheoFood’, which conveys authenticity and tradition as distinctive elements of what is, to date, the only restaurant within an archaeological site.
